Whale Watching (December through April 1)
Experience a thrilling and fast paced ride out to the ocean to see the California Gray Whales (Eschrichtius robustus) as they pass close by San Diego's coast. The R.I.B. offers an intimate on-the-water experience and its low profile allows passengers to get up close and personal to the whales. The captain will serve as onboard naturalist, relaying a wealth of information about the whales' biology, natural history and migratory habits.
Adventure Games
The Nautical Theme Treasure Hunt is an exciting and fast paced game ideal for all ages. Teams will test their problem solving abilities, observational prowess and hands-on seamanship skills as they follow a series of clues around San Diego Bay. The dynamic and competitive Extreme Adventure Game offers a combination of physical challenges in conjunction with the Treasure Hunt Questions. Experience a beach landing, tug-of-war game, and paddle races in this more extreme game.
Kids' Outings and Games: Kids have great fun touring the Bay in the kids' version of the Treasure Hunt Game or in the Pirate Treasure Hunt. On the Pirate Treasure Hunt, kids follow a map as they look for clues around the Bay that will lead them to a hidden treasure chest.
Snorkel & Scuba Adventures
Take a thrilling R.I.B trip out to the Coronado Islands (Mexico) for an amazing and intimate snorkeling or scuba diving experience with a Certified Dive Master. Enjoy the rich and diverse marine eco-system that thrives around the islands, which provide some of the most pristine diving in the region. All snorkeling and scuba equipment (including wetsuits) can be provided.
Naval Heritage Tours
Enjoy a thrilling tour of San Diego Bay onboard an authentic Navy SEAL R.I.B., and learn about the area's rich naval and maritime heritage from a knowledgeable U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain. See all the great naval and historical sights that San Diego has to offer from the Navy SEAL Amphibious Base at Coronado Island to the Lighthouses on the tip of Point Loma. On this tour, passengers will also venture under the flight deck of the U.S.S. MIdway, see Navy ships, the submarine base, and cruise along the Embarcadero to view the incredible collection of historic ships at the Maritime Museum.
Eco-Tours
Get up close and personal to the marine life on an eco-friendly thrill ride, for Whale Watching Expedition, Wildlife/Dolphin tour or an Ocean Excursion to the Coronado Islands, Mexico (these islands are a mecca for marine life). Learn about the diverse marine eco-system in and around San Diego Bay and Baja California from a highly knowledgeable captain who will serve as onboard naturalist. The R.I.B. is powered by twin 150 HP e-Tec engines, the most environmentally friendly engines available.
